Good evening [[firstname]],
I am writing this email with a heavy heart. I want to inform you all that unfortunately, last Tuesday evening 16th April without me being present at the meeting, the General Council took a vote to have me removed as the Rackets Representative from the Club. The reason this decision was taken was due to the consequences of events historic and recent. This decision has hit me hard and leaves me considering my coaching / playing position and membership with Burton Manor moving forward.
In light of this decision there is a requirement to call a section meeting to find my replacement. I am proposing a meeting date of Tuesday 7th May at 7.30pm . Those who can attend your support would be appreciated to move things forward for the club.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have supported me during the last 7 years to make a steady growth and changes to the rackets section. The journey at times has been challenging with a global pandemic thrown in the mix, however hopefully together we have made a difference and helped grow Squash participation at Burton Manor. During this time I have been club team captain and won numerous titles. I have been honoured to part of the coaching team that has produced some talented juniors who have won county and national competitions. Being integral to these accomplishments makes me feel proud to be a part of.
Finally, thank you the members that have given me the opportunity to represent you and help improve the club. Your support has been the driving factor behind me making things happen at Burton Manor.
This isn’t the end of my journey and hopefully I will be on court with you soon.
