**UPDATED** New Membership Pricing for 2025-2026

Dear [[firstname]] [[lastname]]

Following the Rackets Club meeting last night, 14 members voted for, and 2 against, the following pricing structure which is now in place:

Existing individual rackets: £60 fee for 2025-2026
Existing family rackets: £100 fee for 2025-2026

New individual rackets: £20
New family rackets: £40

I appreciate that some of you have already paid, so I will be getting in touch directly to ask if you would be willing to either leave the difference as a donation to the club or to receive as court credits.

Court costs will now be a flat £7.50 (squash and badminton) all day.

Group sessions remain at £5 per player.

Please could you ensure you settle your membership for 2025-2026 by 24th October. Door cards for memberships not paid by then will be deactivated.

It was also agreed to remove the option to pay by Direct Debit, as it no longer offers any benefit and makes it easier for the club to manage membership payments and revenue planning.

This structure has been based on considerable analysis and feedback, and offers the best balance of revenue for the club, attractiveness to new players, competitiveness with other clubs, and affordability for the average court user.
We will look at uptake over the year, but the idea is to drop the fee down to £20 across the board for 2026-2027.
We hope this new model will enable the club to thrive, broaden its reach and appeal, and there are plenty of plans to generate more activity, which Alan will update you on.

As the fee for new members is now only £20, we encourage all members to reach out to anyone who may have stopped playing, or might be interested in taking it up, as this price should now remove upfront fees being a blocker, and existing social members might be tempted to upgrade to rackets for the extra £5.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me, and if you do have any issues with your door card, please speak to Dom at the bar in the first instance.

Thanks again for your continued support.
