Court opening and guidance

I am pleased to let you know that this Friday 7th August we will be reopening the Squash and Badminton courts. Courts will be available from 9am. I have seen already that a few have been using the new booking system. Hopefully everyone is finding the new way of booking easy to setup and use.

Although we are reopening please be aware that there are many changes that we have had to put in place in order to reopen. I have attached the current guidelines to this email for the current guidance for squash / racketball to ensure the safety of all our members. This guidance includes a modified version of the game to ensure that you can play with social distancing measures in place.

Please ensure when booking the courts that you put down BOTH players to allow us to track and trace who has used the facilities. Due to current guidelines the courts can only be used by Members only. No non members / visitors allowed to use the club until further notice. Members MUST NOT play if you have not booked the court. In order to play members must book on-line using the MyCourts system. It is no longer possible to 'turn up and play' until further notice. This will be monitored via Club Control.

You MUST arrive at the club in your kit as there will be limited access and use of the changing facilities. Arrive promptly (no more than 5 minutes before playing time). The maximum number of members in off courts areas are

2 Persons per changing room at one time.
2 In the corridor at one time.
2 on the balcony area to be used only by coaches or members supervising the play of junior / juniors from the same household.

The club has installed wall mounted Sanitizer units at external doors and court doors. Members MUST sanitize their hands before entry to the club and courts and before exiting the facilities.

All members are responsible for cleaning all touch points after playing prior to leaving the courts. 2 Showers will be available but all members MUST clean down and sanitize touch points after use. Cleaning products will be provided. There will be 1 WC available in the changing rooms.

With our new booking system the lights and ventilation fans will come on automatically when you enter the courts.
