EGM Report

Dear members,

Following on from yesterday evenings EGM, it is with regret that the bar will no longer be available for member use on a TUESDAY and SUNDAY evenings. Our bar takings on those evening which range from £27 to £54 are loss making: and this will worsen with increased staffing and utility costs.

I need to remind members that the Tuesday evening had been re-opened at the request of Racket Sports. A small group of players have used the facility, but not enough to make keeping it open economically viable.

The Racket Sports meeting in which the decision about Tuesday opening had been requested was well attended in comparison to our meeting last year and yesterday. In fact, considering that members had requested feedback as regards both the field and how the club was doing, attendance yesterday evening was embarrassingly poor.

Bearing in mind that I am volunteer, this level of attendance made me question whether my time would be better spent doing something else. However, to everyone who did attend and the few who sent in apologies you have my thanks, and my ongoing commitment to BMSA.

I will be sending out a more detailed report on what we looked at in yesterdays EGM in due course.

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
  • Add "burtonmanorsports@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Contacts list or email address book.
  • Contact your email service provider and ask them why you're not receiving messages sent from burtonmanorsports@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.

Hotmail/Outlook Users

  • Login to your Hotmail/Outlook account.
  • Click Settings > View all Outlook settings > Junk Email
  • Add "mycourts.co.uk" and "no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Safe Senders and domains.

GMail Users

  • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses. If "Burton Manor Sports <burtonmanorsports@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" appears in the list of blocked addresses, select "Burton Manor Sports <burtonmanorsports@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" and click "unblock selected addresses".

Other email service providers may have similar settings -- please follow their instructions. If not, contact their support desk and request delivery of messages from burtonmanorsports@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.
